Hello. My name is Benny Hathaway, and as it says in the video, I am a sock monkey. I am also a writer.

Last year, I published my very first book, Sock Monkey Dreams. It's a book about the Red Heel Monkey Shelter, a house where homeless old sock monkeys find refuge and a new life after they've been abandoned by their old owners.

I also keep track of the Monkey Census, and I publish our local newspaper, the Monkey Ape Vine. I'm a pretty busy monkey.

I've done all of this stuff for years on my Banana Computer, which I am told has a human equivalent in an iBook G4 Macintosh.

Unfortunately, my Banana Computer just fried its logic board. And while Elvis may have liked fried bananas, I don't! They don't work so good.

So now I am Bananaless, and the funds from Sock Monkey Dreams, well, we're not talking Harry Potter money, let's just say that . . .

So I decided I would start this website to see if you peoples out there would help me raise the funds and the fun to get myself a new Banana.
